Position Overview

Ensuring continuous availability of tools (Stamping and Punching tools).

Ensuring adequate quality of tools for production.

Main Responsibilities

Preventive maintenance of tools
Detection of tool faults, repair and maintenance of tools
Making tool modifications
Sharpening tools
Joining parts
Use of metalworking machines (drills, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, band saws, spark cutters)
Documentation management

Position Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in press tool manufacturing.
Strong experience in Progressive Press Tools, including:

Die Assembling
Tool Fitting
Tool tryout and adjustment
Trouble shooting and corrective action
Tool maintenance and repair

<li>Ability to read and interpret:</li>

Engineering Drawings
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Tolerance Specifications

<li>Good knowledge of tool room machines, especially:</li>

Surface Grinding Machines
Milling Machines
Drilling Machines
Manual Tool Room Equipment

<li>Proficient in using precision measuring instruments:</li>

Vernier Calipers
Micrometers
Dial Height Gauges
Dial Indicators
Gauge Blocks

<li>Experience in shop floor activities:</li>

Die Setting
Production Support
Breakdown Handling
Root Cause Analysis
Process Improvement Activities

<li>Basic knowledge of:</li>

Quality Inspection Methods
Measurement Practices
Press Machine Operations

<li>Ability to identify and resolve tooling-related quality issues such as:</li>

Burrs
Out-of-Specification Dimensions
Material Feeding Problems
Punch and Die Wear Issues
Tool Alignment Issues

<li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Able to support production teams in achieving quality, productivity, and delivery targets.</li>
<li>Familiarity with automotive stamping components will be an added advantage.</li>
