Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support for business operations, strategic initiatives, and major capital projects.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including EPC, construction, procurement, supply, service, lease, consultancy, confidentiality, and other corporate contracts.
- Lead contract negotiations with contractors, suppliers, financial institutions, and business partners to protect the company’s legal and commercial interests.
- Support financing transactions through the review and negotiation of banking and security documentation.
- Advise management on corporate, commercial, manufacturing, employment, investment, licensing, and regulatory matters.
- Manage corporate secretarial matters, including board and shareholder resolutions, corporate governance documentation, and statutory compliance.
- Liaise with notaries and relevant authorities regarding corporate actions and statutory filings.
- Oversee licensing and regulatory compliance matters with government agencies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess legal risks, and provide practical, commercially focused legal solutions.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, dispute resolution, claims, and other legal matters.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable university.
- Licensed Indonesian Advocate (Advokat).
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Combination of experience in a reputable law firm and an in-house legal function is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation, corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, or project-based businesses is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to draft and negotiate legal documents in both languages.
- Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical legal advice in a dynamic business environment.
