A Contractor job in Batam is available for a Claims Specialist at Glints.
This health insurance business, serving approximately 34 million customers across 10 markets, is looking for a Claims Specialist to work on a Work From Office (WFO) basis in Batam, Kepulauan Riau.
#### QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Degree in any discipline, though an insurance qualification is advantageous.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in travel or personal lines insurance claims; fresh graduates will be considered.
- Basic understanding of insurance concepts and claims processes is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and comfortable using digital claims systems.
- Possess good analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Customer-focused mindset with good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Strong time management skills, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and manage/prioritize workload.
- A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
The primary responsibilities for this role include
- Claims Assessment & Processing: Review and assess travel claims within assigned authority limits, ensuring adherence to policy terms and service turnaround times. This involves verifying claim documentation for completeness and accuracy, conducting regular claim file reviews, and updating reserves timely. You will also identify potential irregularities or inconsistencies and escalate them, while preparing clear assessment notes and recommendations.
- Customer Service & Communication: Communicate professionally with customers to request missing information, clarify details, provide updates, and explain claim outcomes. Offer claim advice and address inquiries within the service turnaround time, upholding the company’s customer-oriented service culture.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure claims are managed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Maintain proper documentation and filing of claim records, and support fraud detection activities by flagging suspicious claims.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior assessors and/or managers for guidance on complex claims cases. Promptly handle assigned ad-hoc projects or tasks.
